reverberate love.
Haley Gaia is luminary in the realms of Sound, Yoga, and Ceremony.
Here is her story…
Hi! My name is Haley. I am Sound Healer, Yoga Teacher, and Ceremony facilitator. Spirituality has been part of my life since I was a little girl.
Growing up, my mother was an energy healer who hosted her private practice right out of my childhood home in downtown Toronto. Sound Healing instruments were scattered all over our house, including a set of White Quartz singing bowls which I was intensely drawn to and cherished playing (when I was allowed!). My mom would take me to all sorts of spiritual experiences like yoga, hypnosis, women’s circles, float tanks. You name it, we did it.
But, it wasn’t until I was older that I started to develop my own practice. At 19, and on a whim, I decided to travel to Central America and spend 3 months in the heart of the jungle learning about and subsequently teaching Yoga at an eco-lodge you had to hike 1h into. After getting over the intial shock of being a city girl surrounded by raw nature,
I fell in love.
So much of me never wanted to leave the jungle, but I had to return home to finish my university degree in Creative Writing and Literature in Montreal. As soon as I returned to Canada, I poured my heart and soul into both my personal practice and my teaching career. And, I was very successful! My classes filled up, the events I hosted were constantly waitlisted, I put on retreats in the forests of Ontario, and I accumulated 800h of training around the world, studying Yoga, Anatomy, Energetics, Trauma, and Breathwork.
However, eventually, I experienced major burnout- I had taught myself into exhaustion! I was an anxious mess, suffering from daily panic attacks and severe depression. I returned home to recuperate and, my mother being who she is, brought me to a private sound bath. That was the moment everything changed. Despite thousands of hours of meditating, it was the first time my brain felt truly calm. I realized that sharing Sound Healing was part of my purpose on earth.
Through singing, humming, and playing Tibetan bowls for myself, the anxiety dissipated and I returned to Montreal. I began offering Sound Healing by using the very same set my mother had in our home- using just three crystal bowls, a handmade drum, and a Sansula. Though I was just starting out, people were magnetized to my Sound Healing and I could feel something shifting in me. Opportunities kept pouring in and I gained notoriety in the city for my Ceremonies.
Fast forward to now, everything has bloomed. Those three bowls have expanded to 14, including ultra-powerful Crystal Tones Alchemy bowls, and my set contains over 30 instruments. I’ve taught retreats all over the world in destinations like Spain and Mexico as well as across Canada, worked with luxury brands like Alo Yoga, The Four Seasons Hotel, Guerlain Paris, and even Neuroscience masters students! But, by and far, the most rewarding part of my journey has been uplifting the hearts of my students. I’ve helped people quit jobs that weren’t serving them, embrace their art, breath through chemo therapy, leave relationships, and truly step into their most loving, authentic selves.
I know in my bones that I am meant to share spirituality through sound, breath, and movement. After all, I wouldn’t be the person I am today without it. There is so much beauty, kindness, and love in hearts and in this world- my mission is to reveal that love to people so that they may claim it.
